In the "draw objects;adding/editing/copying" node in the Help, we have this
gem:

"1. To draw multiple objects of the same type, double-click the icon."

So maybe that's where the bPermanent stuff comes from.  This is overkill given
that we could use Inkscape's much simpler scheme.
