Confirmed for LibreOffice 3.4  340m1(Build:103) on OpenSuse Linux.

Cannot say exactly what happens to the image after deletion because it is very
erratic. Sometimes the image does not move at all (ie the column collapses but
the image ends up in the same absolute position). This is strange because when
right clicking the image it says that the image is anchored to the cell. At
other times the image becomes deformed, I noticed this after moving the images
around. And at other times after moving the images around the image does change
position after deleting the column.

Regardless, there is evidently an error and it can be very annoying for users.
