Summary: WordPerfect Import Fails When Equations Are in
                    Document
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: LibO 3.3.1 release
          Platform: x86 (IA32)
        OS/Version: Windows (All)
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
        AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: david.baxendale at gmail.com

This took a while to find :-)

If the WordPerfect document being imported to Writer contains equations (in my
case the old WordPerfect equation type - similar to Math format), then Writer
displays a blank document.

Quick fix, skip the equation and continue. Proper fix convert the equation.
Note WordPerfect has two equation editors. The old one (the one I use) as a
very similar syntax as Math. In fact if I cut the WordPerfect math codes and
paste then into Math; Math generally re-produces the equations.
