Having stated that I was "inserting JPG images into Writer" I did not feel it
necessary to add further clarification.  Since there is a question ("of what"),
the "JPG images" were JPG version of photographs which caused Writer to grow to
147 megabytes, and malfunction and/or crash; ditto for 120 and 104.  I trust
this is now sufficiently clear.
