I finally tested on a clean Ubuntu 10.10 install (LO 3.3.2 RC2/final) and the
video plays after installing:
gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg
gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mp3
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly
(same are installed on this system)
without any modification to /opt/libreoffice/ure/lib/libstdc++.so.6

So I can only assume that something else is causing the issue on this an my
other systems. I'll do some additional testing to see if I can sort out the
problem. But in light of others also not having the issue I'll close the bug
for now. Again, thanks for testing.
