Summary: EDITING formula being in OVERWRITE mode
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux (All)
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Spreadsheet
        AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: maxy at debian.org

Hi,

The problem shows after you have edited a cell and left the editing mode in
OVERWRITE.
If you try to edit any cell by clicking in the formula text input (and not by
pressing F2), the changes you make are applied as if you were in INSERT mode,
but, while you are editing the changes show as is you were in OVERWRITE mode.

If you try to edit the cell by pressing F2, the editing mode seems to be forced
to INSERT.

The problem is also present in OOO Calc, (al least in versions 2.0, 2.4, and
3.2).
