May be UI can be improved (I do not thiunk so). I agree with conclusion in the
OOo issue " ... could make sense" , but available information does not show 
that that _really_is_ useful.

The old OOo specifications

might show an idea concerning such a "well founded concept" trying to estimate
all tailings a modification might have.
