Thanks for your comment, vitriol. I have experimented with the system a bit
more and found that in the Printer Settings, under Options, I had "Left pages"
set but not "Right pages" (I hadn't touched these settings, I had only just
downloaded LibreOffice. Maybe they were left over from my old copy of
OpenOffice). This causes the "problem" as the system is attempting to print
only the even-numbered pages. The program prints all pages if EITHER "Left
pages" and "Right pages" are set OR neither is set.
I can see that this is not a bug, however it is very disconcerting when you
download an application and it fails to print your first file successfully. I
suggest you ensure that both "Left pages" and "Right pages" default to unset
when a new version of LibreOffice is downloaded from the server. This would be
annoying for regular users who had set up their print options, but very
reassuring for new users who are trying LibreOffice for the first time, with a
view to switching from another office suite.
