Import of 'OX_Forex_application.pdf' 
via 
(1) 'StartCenter > Open'
(2) 'Draw > File > Open'
works fine
with LibreOffice 3.4.3 OOO340m1 (Build:302),
PDF Import Extension 1.0.5,
on WinXP 32b.

Did you try it also with a default (not customized) user profile?
