Unfortunately nobody answered to my questions on the mailing lists.
I can understand that automatic page breaks will be ignored, but the reason to
ignore manually inserted breaks is difficult to understand.

@Kohei:
Can you remember or imagine why the behavior has been modified? There might
have been good reasons, but reporter's arguments in comment 17 also are good,
and I find no way to fulfill his needs with the current behavior.
