Please ALWAYS contribute exact information concerning OS in the report or
comment! 

Do not waste our time with incomplete reports and snappish comments like
"Because it is inconsistent and illogical". Although I tend to agree with your
expectations to text color, we need facts. What other similar combo boxes did
you see with black text? What can we know what Linux distribution with intended
differing behavior you use?
