             Bug #: 49258
Summary: No easy way to move and resize tables in Writer
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: LibO 3.5.2 Release
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
        AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: b7.10110111 at gmail.com

How to see this:
0. Start Writer
1. Insert a table (e.g. 3x3)
2. Figure out how to move it around the document, it appears:
 a) no simple drag and drop supported for this
 b) to move vertically you can do this by e.g. making some line feeds before
the table
 c) to move horizontally you can try moving cell borders starting from the
nearest to the direction of moving - of course, you'll have to try hard to get
cells correctly sized after this

There are some other ways of the same ugliness to have the task done.

Now, as a nicer workaround, you might want to start a Calc session, make a
table there and copy&paste this table into Writer. Then you can move it as if
it were an image, while you can still edit it by double-clicking it.
Of course, this is still quite cumbersome, so it'd be better to just have
drag'n'drop support for normal Writer tables.

For comparison, M$ Word 2003 provides you an easy way drag'n'drop any tables.
