This used to work before (not sure what version of LibreOffice), but doesn't
any more. It gives a bunch of text gibberish and doesn't even seem to recognize
the file as PPT.

If you wish evidence of this, please give me an email address that I can share
the doc with (you should also be able to download it to confirm).

Perhaps this works on a newer version of LibreOffice ... I don't easily have
control over which version is loaded on my laptop but if you wish me to try a
newer version, I can ask permission to do a manual upgrade.
