Works for me on : 

LO 3.5.5 RC2
LO 3.5.4

but you MUST HAVE a Java JDK/JRE installed, or else it will fail and LO will
shut down.

My guess is that you don't have a JDK/JRE installed, or if you do, it is not
recognised by LO.
