Thanks for your reply and interest in the bug I reported.

Attached are screenshots associated with two spreadsheet files. Both 
show the same problem but it seems to show on all Spreadsheet files. The 
problem appears to relate to the location of the page break. You'll see 
the row number where the page break varies between the Windows and Linux 
output of the same file. The Libre Office version no. we use in Windows 
(XP Professional) is 3.5.4.2 and in Linux (Ubuntu 12.04) it is 3.5.3.2.
