d0e4215 is after my change, and c3dc9a3 is before it. That the latest one works
"post-fix" is encouraging, that the older one works "pre-fix" as well is
frustrating :-) I think its worth proposing the change for 3-6 despite the lack
of conclusive evidence that it squashes this bug.
