document with missing footnotes

I've attached the file. Please don't publish any of this under your name ;)
I believe that I created the .docx file in OpenOffice which I used when I was
still running Windows 7. After the switch to Ubuntu, I used the LibreOffice
that came with it (and appears to be the same?!). The document worked fine
until, quite some time after the switch, one day all of the footnotes
disappeared. So I guess it has nothing to do with the history of the document
but is a random fluke maybe...
