@pd:  Please run soffice.bin within gdb to get some more information about why
it crashes.  From a terminal,

  gdb /usr/lib64/libreoffice/program/soffice.bin

then at the gdb prompt

  run

then once it returns to the prompt saying it received a SIGSEGV

  thread apply all bt

and make all the output available.
