LibreOffice 3.5.2.2 
Build ID: 350m1(Build:202)

Running Kubuntu 12.04 64 Bit

Problem exists on first and any other slides, makes no difference. Just shows
up as black and white image. When inserted via Insert->Picture->From file
(linked or copied), it appears as small image. With the predefined buttons of a
empty layout slide, it is much larger. Both images share some problems when
marking them - one needs to draw a large rectangle to select them, just
clicking onto it does not have any effect.
