FWIW, I had this happen again 2 days ago, running LO 5.2.6.2 on the same amd64
Ubuntu 16.04 Linux version. 

If I recall correctly, this time it happened after inserting a fresh table of
contents and deleting the old one.  I saved, and started editing and it
crashed.

But go ahead and resolve it as insufficient data if you wish, of course.
