@Stefan: It might be, that you had set the language for new documents to "None"
in Tools>Options at the time the document was first created. After first
creating, this property is saved in the file, and is not affected by changes in
Tool>Options. I don't know another reason other than someone had set it to
[None] directly in the style.

[BTW: Another language pitfall is the language setting "Default (...)". With
that setting numbers use the delimiter, which belongs to the LibreOffice which
opens the document. So a document written in a English environment shows "1.5".
If the document is opened in a German environment, the number is shown as
"1,5". Therefore I personally never use "Default (...)", but set the language
explicitly in all cases.]
