I have tried all of the options including Office Open Text .docx, MS Word
97-2003.doc, Open document text .odt, the text is there but the photos are
missing.

If I send an email with the file "Microsoft Word Document (.docx), attached,
via gmail, magically, if I open the file inside gmail, all the photos are
there.

If I download the file and save it to my Desk Top screen, all of the photos
disappear!

So you can only see the entire document with photos if you look at it in gmail.

I'm not a computer expert, I just use them. I tried Open Office because I was
fed up with Microsoft. 
Open office is supposed to be compatible and work with Word documents but
clearly, it does not.

I don't have any answers, except maybe to go back to using MS Word.

Here is the Fire Lighting Techniques doc. Open it within your email and you
will see the photos. Download it and they will probably disappear.
