My libreoffice is LTR.
But shouldn't it be dependent on what's more readable?
For example if your arrow is situated like this: https://imgur.com/XyuUFx3
Is then not more readable if the text was from the bottom of the arrow to the
top?
You can have something that takes into account the degrees of the line and
decided from there which side you snap the text.

Or you can add a property that can rotate the text with reference to the center
of the line, that way user can have an option if they want it like that or not.
