I've downloaded and tested Michele's presentation and it worked fine, no
glitches.

But that's the point. The bug is intermittent. It happens pretty much in all my
Impress files, but not always. Sometimes I use an Impress file to give a talk
or class it all goes well. Then some time later I use the same file again and
there's glitches. When this happens, I close LibreOffice, open it again, and
the presentation runs smoothly with no glitches.

Currently I'm recording my classes, but I've been using PDFs to avoid these
glitches. But I'll start using Impress now to see if we get "lucky" and a
glitch may happen during a recorded class.

PS: could it be that it only happens with physicists working on graphene? ;-)
