Don't use the table wizard.
Use "Create Table in Design View…"
Set first field "ID" → "Integer"
Set AutoValue → Yes.

Could be this is, as many other bugs, a special gtk3-bug.
I don't use gtk3 any more so I can't reproduce the behavior here with VCL: kf5

My system at this moment: OpenSUSE 15.2 64bit rpm Linux, KDE, no gtk3
installed.
