IME, it would be very useful if Writer had an option allowing the user to
change Endnotes to Footnotes if required (e.g. to cover cases where more than
one footnote anchor style is required – see Bug 136554; or perhaps where the
user has mistakenly created endonotes and wants to change them all to
footnotes).

This of course would require Endnotes to have the same options as Footnotes in 
Tools > Footnotes and Endnotes > Endnotes.
