Could you please report this problem to bugzilla? You might find some
hints at http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport

Also, your description is a bit unclear to me. It would be better if you
attach a sample document and describe your actions by simple steps. For
example:

Steps to reproduce:

1. open the attached test.ods
2. open empty Writer document
3. select cell A3 in test.ods; cut&paste it to the writer document
4. ...

Result: nothing happens

Expected Result: it should do this and that
