The problem that Michael Meeks is concerned about, if I understand correctly, is that the detour is complex enough to be a significant discouragement to someone who reports a bug for the first time. There are at least 5 steps where there should be at most one (i.e. entering the mail ).

I don't and I'm sorry if I lead you to think I did. My only concern for now is about the authentication of the user.
