Hi Cor, all

So an easy and sort of logic solution is to have an option to turn Macro recording of for those that want that.
I think I can take this one....

Do you mean you are going to add an option to enable Macro separately from the rest of the experimental features? That is great!

"How to activate macros" is a quite common question from users so I think that would be a welcome addition and a source for more feedback.

Of course I have to agree with Bjoern that if there are no devs willing to dedicate some time to react to QA output it will simply be a waste of QA time and a source of frustration for users who expect this feature.

Macros have been a major spreadsheet feature since the Lotus 123 days. I think making it work properly should be considered a "core functionality" of Calc.

In future, when options will be reworked, maybe that one should be an option for admins, that cannot be reached for users.

There are options in LibreOffice that can only be enabled by admins? How? Is that possible under Windows? Maybe during install?

Regards,
Pedro
