as I tried to confirm

Writer, loaded

in Firefox 23.0a2 (2013-06-19), then rightclicked on it, and chose
"Copy graphic" (or so ... <span class="moz-smiley-s3" title=";)"><span>;)</span></span> I am using the Germanophone version of
either LO as well as FF ... <span class="moz-smiley-s3" title=";)"><span>;)</span></span> ). Then I switched to Writer, pressed
<Ctrl>+<Shift>+<V> to insert the graphic. In the following dialog I
chose "HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language). LO immediatly crashes ...

LO: Version: 4.1.0.1

OS: Debian Testing AMD64
Can somebody confirm this behaviour?

Indeed, but I wonder is this a user error - why paste a jpg as HTML?
But I do get the crash on 4.2 master<br>

Maybe report - worst case it's an enhancement request (special paste
should detect what is pasted and if an incorrect/incompatible option
is selected, offer other options)<br>
