I obviously wasn't clear enough. Let me therefore reiterate the crucial points:
Do not manually enter anything into the Path field in the Hyperlink dialog, but
use the button on the right side to select the file. The result will look like
an absolute path, but LibreOffice actually writes a relative path to the file,
when you save the presentation.
