Manual changes will be lost on next update of the index. I do not recommend it.

I think, the line break in the index could be improved. The available room for
the entry text could be calculated excluding the line number, for example. So
the last word would go to the next line earlier. The visual problem is, that
the text of the entry reaches into that area, which contains the page numbers
in the other lines. For me a valid enhancement request.

Workaround: Add two non-breaking spaces to the end of the heading itself for
those headings, which have this problem in the index. The additional space
between entry text and leader dots in the index is acceptable, because the
dotted line is still very long.
