Caolán McNamara committed a patch related to this issue.
It has been pushed to "libreoffice-7-2":

tdf#142925 render the button arrow like it used to be

It will be available in 7.2.0.0.beta2.

The patch should be included in the daily builds available at

Affected users are encouraged to test the fix and report feedback.
