Does "~Keep Old Styles (and detach template)" work better? Would be
include/sfx2/strings.hrc STR_QRYTEMPL_KEEP_BTN.

If the template is detached we should update the properties dialog accordingly.
Could be an easyhack in sfx2/source/dialog/dinfdlg.cxx
