  That's the first reason. It does not allow to move the formatting to other
document. 

  The second reason is the simplicity. In *nix world to copy/paste it is enough
to select the source, move the cursor to the target and click the middle
button.
Clone formatting is much more complex.

  No, I need a very simple and obvious solution. To copy formats with 2 clicks.
