If I may... My understanding of the request is that when clicking on the
chevron, the toolbar would slide as if we were talking about a horizontal
scroll-bar, showing new icons on the right side while hiding some icons on the
left side.

My comment does not mean I agree with the request; I'm just writing what I
understand about it. I'd rather have the Tabbed toolbar actually working as
expected first, after more than 26 months that has been reported as broken by
now (only 20 days after its introduction).
