We discussed the topic in the design meeting.

Gnome shows that such an option is very much welcome - and should be
implemented on the OS. If LibreOffice is going to implement such a function we
could imagine two options: first via UNO command that iterates through the open
windows and second to label the entries unter Windows with numbers so switching
per Alt+W+<number> is possible. Given that the OS might have a function the
latter is the preferred solution.
