Sounds like a good compromise. Any objection, Eike?

Btw, this "Default Value" option is hard to understand and the documentation
not informative.

(The option would be added to the "Optimal Row Height / Column Width" dialog.
If checked, the hidden row/col remains hidden resp. zero.)
