<div>when it comes to write various texts (especially technical documents) there are many abbreviations to handle (like 'HD' for 'Harddisk'). Usually you will want to add an index for abbreviations into your document.</div>
<div>I'd like to see the following features. </div>
<div>1) Easy declaration of new abbreviations like marking the abbreviation + shortcut, or writing the word and <Ctrl>+<Space> to declare the perviously written word as an abbreviation causing a bubble info (bubble popup window) to appear prompting me to enter a title and explanatory text to the newly declared abbreviation. (Quite similar to notes, but automatically registering the new abbreviation to a document database for abbreviations)<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif, Arial, 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; line-height: 1.6em;">)</span></div>
<div>2) Simple generation of an index of abbreviations used within this document.</div>
<div>3) automatically mark all abbreviations in the text with a dotted line below and provide a bubble popup info at mouseover. The same abbreviation might appear several times within the text (that's what abbreviations are made for) and each time it should be marked and have this mousover feature. (Especially when I might beeing confused myself about some abbreviations, that are quite similar one to another, I have an immediate feedback if I'm using the correct abbreviation.)</div>
<div>4) Ability to link databases for abbreviations from outside a document into the document. You might have some abbreviations in your company that are collected in one common database. You might add a database for computer specific abbreviations or historic abbreviations, and so on. These databases might be quite large. The index (see 2) should thatfor always just show the abbreviations that really are used in the document.</div>
<div>5) The explanatory text for an abbreviation should have 2 elements. One title (bold) and one additional explanatory text.</div>

<div>abbreviation: 'HD'</div>
<div>title: 'Harddisk'(bold)</div>
<div>text: 'A mass storage device based on a rotatory magnetizable disk.'</div>
