I looked at the Makefile and understand that fetch jumps to the src.downloaded option [and I understand what it's doing]. I haven't parsed the dowload script because my bash scripting knowledge is newbie. </div><div><br></div><div><div><b>Question 2: How do I go about stepping through bash scipts?</b> I have DL'd bashdb-4.2-0.7 but it requires:</div></div><div><br></div><div>configure: WARNING: You have Bash GNU bash, version 3.2.48(1)-release (x86_64-apple-darwin10.0)</div><div>Copyright (C) 2007 Free Software Foundation, Inc. installed.</div><div>configure: error: This package is only known to work with Bash 4.1 or 4.2.</div><div><br></div><div><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal;">This would indicate I have to install a more recent version of bash but I wonder what might break for my regular Mac Xcode usage.</span></b></div><div><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal;"><br></span></b></div><div>I am confused.
