I agree. For what it's worth, this particular issue *will* cause CTS 
failures related to missing linker errors. Since it only links stuff 
that should fail, games and other applications shouldn't be affected. So 
it's definitely not ideal, but missing this patch is also quite unlikely 
to break any use cases.
