        <pre>I'm trying to install Autodesk Softimage on a laptop with i915, and the program
crashes consistently when a polygon is selected. This only happens with
polygons, not NURBS or other implicit objects.

Tried selecting polygons in Blender 3D and the crash didn't happen.

Tried Autodesk Softimage on a different laptop with proprietary NVIDIA driver,
and the crash didn't happen.

Stepping through gdb produced this;

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
