<pre>I've made some screenshots with the Pre-Sequel as well:
<<a href="https://imgur.com/a/DnoC1">https://imgur.com/a/DnoC1</a>>. As you can see, big FPS drops coincide usually
with buffer wait time and/or draw call spikes. Some of these spikes can be
correlated to "stuff happening on the screen", but in other cases drops can
come out of nowhere, so to speak.
With VBlank on, FPS capping at 60 FPS, all video settings to max, a 2560×1440
resolution, CPUfreq governor set to performance (really helps reducing the
frequency of the FPS drops/buffer wait time spikes) and the stack detailed
below, I get 40 to 60 FPS most of the time. The images show the "error" case.
My current stack is (Debian testing as a base):
