enabling use_virtualized_gl_contexts was originally a workaround for some other
drivers. We originally enabled it everywhere, but it uncovered this issue, so
we disabled it on drivers that don't absolutely need it.
Whichever way you take it, various drivers from different vendors are
inconsistent and we have to workaround some and/or others.</pre>
