Unfortunately chrome workarounds tend to be done incorrectly -- they look at the hw in the system, not the driver being used. (e.g. if you have intel + nvidia gpu, it'll enable all the nvidia workarounds despite the rendering happening all on intel, or that nouveau is used for the nvidia gpu).
