I spent a little bit more time playing with the 3.11-rc2 kernel and I noticed a
couple of things:
1) If I boot in standalone mode with no DisplayPort connector attached, xrandr
shows that I have 3 DisplayPort outputs?! This is definitely not true!
2) Once booted in standalone mode, if I then proceed to plug in the DisplayPort
connector then the kernel throws a backtrace - I'll upload this as a separate
attachment.
My best guess is that the freeze is related to trying to enumerate these
non-existent DisplayPort outputs when starting X. Whereabouts in the code are
these outputs parsed/enumerated?
