Perhaps I was unclear. The implication was "update your system to these
packages and see if it still happens".

To be clear, loading the virtualbox modules taints the kernel.

Yes there is, if you build it. I'm sure there are plenty of wikis about it on
the internet if you have trouble getting it to work.</pre>
