Perhaps you can try a 3.10.x kernel. See <a class="bz_bug_link bz_status_NEW " title="NEW --- - [NVA8] GPU lockup since kernel 3.11 upgrade" href="show_bug.cgi?id=69029">bug #69029</a>. If this turns out to help, then do a bisect to figure out the offending commit.
