Using nomodeset disables nouveau entirely, so you won't be able to use<br/>
the 'nouveau' ddx either. It'd probably work with vesa or something.<br/>

nouveau.noaccel=1<br/>
nouveau.agpmode=0<br/>

(also in combination)<br/>
