Hi,
This problem appears to have been resolved. Here are the kernels on my system:
/vmlinuz-3.19.3-200.fc21.x86_64
/vmlinuz-3.19.2-201.fc21.x86_64
/vmlinuz-3.19.1-201.fc21.x86_64
The last one causes the problem but the "-2" and "-3" kernels it's gone.
The kernel MIGHT not be the solution though because I tried and failed to
install the latest NVIDIA driver. The installation fails due to missing fields
in some Kernel structures. NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-346.47.run is the filename. I
can't figure out what they may have modified to effect this problem. They did
put "nouveau" in a file in /etc/modprobe.d. The filename and it's contents are:
nvidia-installer-disable-nouveau.conf
# generated by nvidia-installer
blacklist nouveau
options nouveau modeset=0
Do you see anything here of interest? Do you need more info? Let me know.
Thanks for your help with this.
